Step 1 Heat oven to 350F
Step 2 Grease 8 inch cake pan and line with parchment paper.
Step 3 Sift sugar, flour, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder and salt together in medium bowl.
Step 4 In larger bowl, or the bowl of a stand mixer, beat together eggs, milk, oil and vanilla.
Step 5 Add flour mixture and mix on medium speed for 2 minutes.
Step 6 Add boiling water and mix on medium speed to form a smooth batter.
Step 7 Pour into prepared pan and bake until toothpick inserted into cake comes out clean, about 30-40 minutes.
Step 8 Let cool in pan 10 minutes before turning out onto cooling rack to cool completely.
