A quick chocolate frosting that is rich in chocolate flavour.

2 cups icing sugar
1/3 cup + 1 Tbsp cocoa powder
3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 pinch salt
3-4 tbsp heavy cream

Step 1 Sift together icing sugar and cocoa powder in a medium bowl.
Step 2 In the bowl of a stand mixer, with paddle attachments, cream butter, vanilla and salt until smooth.
Step 3 Add icing sugar mixture and mix on low speed until combined.
Step 4 Add cream and mix on medium-high speed until you have a smooth, spreadable frosting, adding more cream as necessary.
Step 5 Use immediately or keep chilled in the fridge, taking the frosting out to soften 10 minutes before use.
